Droid Incredible fans out there may be in for a treat come this July, as the Droid Incredible 4G LTE may finally make its debut then. Details have been a bit sparse concerning the handset, with the exception that it was pushed back to July from the originally pegged June release date. Now, if you’re still waiting on the handset, you might want to circle July 5th on your calendars.
We got some hands on time with the latest Incredible handset back in May during CTIA 2012, but not many details have come since. You can still expect the
ugly interesting design aesthetic found on the previous Incredible handsets, and a nice selection of specs that won’t make the Galaxy S III quiver, but will satisfy most.
Rocking a 4 inch qHD Super LCD display that might be a deal breaker for some, especially when you consider the screen technologies found on other handsets in Verizon’s portfolio. That said, we can expect the Droid Incredible 4G LTE to land at a sub $200 price point, so it will certainly be worth it for some. Other than the display, the handset will sport a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, NFC, 8mp BSI f/2.2 camera, microSD slot, and 1700 mAh battery. Expect some Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and HTC 4.0 goodness as well.
Given that Verizon had said the handset would be released shortly after its debut in May, we’re wondering what’s taking so long. Whatever it may be, hopefully everything will be ironed out shortly and we will indeed see the Droid Incredible 4G LTE hit Verizon stores on July 5th.
