British phone retailer Clove has started accepting pre-orders for the newly announced Sony Xperia miro, asking 126 GBP (about $197) for the unlocked, SIM-free device. The entry-level smartphone offers a solid bang for the back, packing an out-of-box Ice Cream Sandwich experience and a number of other goodies like a 3.5-inch HGVA touchscreen, HSPA and Wi-Fi connectivity and 800MHz single-core processor. Moreover, it also has 512MB of RAM, GPS, Bluetooth, and 4GB of built-in memory that is further expandable with microSD cards.
Yup, it’s a low-end phone, one that is catered toward first time smartphone buyers who don’t want to pay a premium to run modern apps. If you’re in that group and you also happen to live in the UK, proceed to this page at Clove’s website and secure your unit today. Or (even better) sign-up for some contract and get a much superior smartphone for free. It’s your call.
