A new, still unannounced Sony smartphone has been caught at Bluetooth SIG. Marked as LT30p, the upcoming device is rumored to come with Qualcomm’s dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 4.6-inch 720p HD screen, powerful 13-megapixel camera on the back, front-facing one with 720p video recording capability and other usual bells and whistles like Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and sensors.

As for the look of the phone, it is described to have an “attractive ARC design with metal back cover.” Moreover, we’re also talking about a pretty slim device, one that’s just 9mm thick and weighs some 140 grams.

All said, this is the kind of a smartphone that could propel Sony back to the first league, currently dominated by Apple, Samsung and HTC. The problem, however, is that the Japanese company needs to act quickly cause soon enough not that many folks will care about dual-core phones and will rather turn their attention to devices with quad-core CPUs…
