As part of the effort to get some love for its latest products, Sony Mobile is launching the Xperia Unleashed campaign in the UK. The idea is set thousands of little robots from Sony’s Xperia adverts in and around London and Manchester, and on the web. Every day, the Japanese company will share hints to the location via Twitter and Facebook, so if you’re interested to win some cool prizes, you better watch what they’re saying with an extra care. Speaking of prizes, you can win Xperia smartphones, tickets to movie premieres, gig passes and DJ sessions. Pretty cool though I’m not sure that will help the struggling giant steal market share from the market leading Apple and Samsung. Perhaps in the mid-range, but in the high-end of the market, Apple’s iPhone 4S and Samsung’s Galaxy S III will pretty much rule the day (for the time being)…

Now I would assume something similar will also be “unleashed” in other European countries but at the moment we don’t have any such information. We’ll see…
