China, your new iPad is coming.

Apple has confirmed this morning that it will begin selling both the WiFi and Cellular models of the Retina-display iPad and the iPad 2 starting July 20th in the China mainland. No details of pricing have yet been revealed by Cupertino, save for the notion that pricing will largely follow that offered in the United States, but they’ve revealed that the tablet will be available both at Apple retail stores and at key retailers across the country.

In an attempt to avoid the mass chaos that usually ensues when a new iDevice is launched, Apple will accept reservations to pick up the new iPad starting on July 19th. Reservations will be available between 9am and 12pm each day, with pickup set for the following day.
