Dolphin Browser just got some serious competition, at least on Apple’s iOS platform, with Sleipnir Mobile 2.0 hitting the AppStore. I haven’t heard of Sleipnir’s web browser before — and as far as I know it was a basic browser — but the new version is pretty sweet. The “sweet” part comes from the fact that it integrates with third-party services for sharing, reading later and storing information to the cloud.
In order to take advantage of these capabilities, you’ll have to open a free Fenrir Pass account and setup connections with services you want to use. For sharing, there’s Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Tumblr and Google+; read later – Readability, Instapaper, Pocket; and for saving to cloud – Dropbox, Evernote and Skydrive. Once that part is done, you’ll be able to easily share and/or save any web page while in a mobile browser.
Finally, it’s worth adding that Sleipnir Browser is also available for PC and Mac computers, and allows you to keep your web browsing in sync with your mobile device(s). An Android app still didn’t get the update though I guess that will happen in the next few days or weeks…
