Canada’s Rogers Wireless won’t be the only carrier in the country to offer the HTC Desire C, with the local branch of Virgin Mobile planning to join the party too. The rumor goes on saying that Virgin will launch the device later this day, offering it for $200 sans any long-term commitments, which we feel is kinda steep for a device as “capable” as Desire C. Let me remind you that we’re talking about the phone that sits at the very low-end of the spectrum, sporting a 3.5-inch HVGA screen, 600MHz processor, HSPA and Wi-Fi connectivity, 5-megapixel camera on the back, NFC, 1230mAh battery, while Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich is running the show. In other words, nothing spectacular though a decent device for first-time smartphone buyers and those who don’t want to spend a small fortune on a high-end phone… If you’re an avid IntoMobile reader, chances are you’re not in that group, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t report on stories like these, right? ;)
