Verizon is venturing into the mobile gaming market with a new mobile game subscription service for its Android smartphones. Called GameTanium, the service includes 100 of the tops games for Android smartphones and 50 of the best Android tablet games. Customers can sign up for the service for $5.99 monthly per device. For this monthly fee, users get unlimited access to all the games included in the service. GameTanium works with over 30 Verizon smartphones like the DROID RAZR and the new Incredible 4G LTE. Verizon also supports two tablet models including the DROID XYBOARD 8.2. Interested customers can download the GameTanium app from Verizon Apps, a carrier-specific app store that is pre-installed on Verizon’s Android handsets. Customers will receive a three-day trial to try the service before the $5.99 monthly subscription gets tacked on to their bill.
