Jawbone released a new software update for its JAMBOX portable speaker. Version 2.2 is free to download from Jawbone’s MyTALK platform, packing a ton of new feature such as:

  • Enhanced speakerphone that makes JAMBOX’s speakerphone “Type 1″ compliant for even crisper and clearer calls.
  • Jawbone Companion for Android app – with the update, JAMBOX supports the Jawbone Companion app for Android which comes with hear alerts for upcoming meetings while listening to music on JAMBOX, and dial in-passcode.
  • New Silent Mode that allows you to stream music without hearing additional prompts, tones and voices.
  • Improved overall Bluetooth interoperability and pairing with computers, especially Macs. There are new user interface improvements as well, including the LED light on JAMBOX that dims after the first 10 seconds of audio play, and the JAMBOX low-battery prompts that starts earlier while specifying how much battery you have left.

So if you have the JAMBOX, proceed to this page and follow instructions provided on the screen to get all the benefits listed above. ;)
