While the Motorola Atrix HD has only been out for a day at this point, it looks like Best Buy is cutting the price of the already quite affordable handset. Yep, you can grab Motorola’s latest Atrix device for only $50 on a new two-year contract through Best Buy.

While we’re still cooking up our official review of the Atrix HD, the fact that the price of the device has been cut in half makes the handset all the more desirable. At $100, you’re getting a lot of power for the price. At $50, it’s probably the most powerful Android device in its price range. That said, even though this is basically a steal, it’s still hard to not recommend something like the HTC One X or Samsung Galaxy S III if you’re looking for a great phone on AT&T.

The AT&T website still has the Atrix HD for sale at $99, and oddly enough, the Atrix 2 is also sitting pretty at the same price point. Luckily, you can buy the discounted handset from Best Buy online, whether you’re a new customer or if you’re already on AT&T and looking to upgrade your current phone.

We haven’t seen a handset get its price cut this quickly since the HTC Titan II, even though its price was only cut 25%. Who knows if this will be the price of the handset going forward at Best Buy, but if you’ve been looking at the Atrix HD, there’s no better time to grab it.
