Even though it’s still killing it at Kickstarter, Ouya is looking for additional cash to make its Android-powered TV console a real product. They’ve proven to the world that such a concept is viable and I’m sure potential investors will dig the idea, too. Is this a great example of Lean Start-up or what?
As I’m writing this, Kickstarter community pledged more than $5 million to secure their Ouya units or just to get a username before the launch rush (a $10 pledge). While that’s an impressive pile of cash, it obviously isn’t enough for a hardware product these days. According to Ouya founder Julie Uhrman: “This is a really big undertaking and it’s going to be expensive.” She added: “We’re looking for additional funds of money but more importantly we wanted to take it to Kickstarter regardless.”
We like the way she thinks and once again can’t help but suggest you to join the race to change the gaming industry…
