The Pebble watch made headlines when it received almost 69,000 backers and $10M in funding. The watch was originally projected to ship in September, but an update sent out to backers this week confirmed that date has slipped. The team behind Pebble didn’t say when the Android and iPhone-connected watch would ship, they only said they were aiming to produce “15,000 Pebbles per week as soon as possible.” Pebble blamed this delay on the scale of the project which ballooned from 1,000 units to over 68,000 by the time the funding was complete.
