Nokia launched a new Windows Phone app, which again is exclusive to Lumia smartphone owners. It’s Weather Channel (or simply “Weather”) and it’s readily available from the Windows Phone Marketplace.

Aside from standard features all such apps have, this one also includes few extra bells and whistles, like:

  • Augmented reality view that shows weather photos around your area, featuring photos people submitted via Weather Channel’s iWitness program.
  • My Friends’ Weather – from where you can access weather data relevant to your friends’ locations. In case you wonder, the location data is pulled from your Facebook and Live connections.
  • “My Amazing Day” – allows you to setup custom alerts for different weather conditions like sunscreen, sailing, pollen and running, and then eventually pin those to your start screen.

So if you have a Lumia smartphone, you may want to grab this app. Hit the link below and take it from there.
