Some 88% of U.S. adults have a mobile phone, and of that number – 72% experienced dropped calls at least occasionally, according to a Pew Research Center survey. What’s more, a third (32%) say they encounter this problem at least a few times a week.
When it comes to unwanted sales or marketing calls, 68% of respondents received them, while 25% encounter this “problem” at least a few times a week or more frequently.
Text messaging is used by a majority (79%) of mobile phone users, 69% of which [SMS users] report getting unwanted spam or text messages. Of those texters, 25% face problems with spam/unwanted texts at least weekly.
More than half (55%) use their mobile phone to go online – to browse the web, exchange emails or download apps. Of all mobile Internet users, 77% say they experience slow download speeds that prevent things from loading as quickly as they would like.
