Well, look what we have here. Sprint may have something up its sleeves to lure new customers in. The Now Network is readying a special deal that might end up being too hard to turn down. Thanks to a report from TechnoBuffalo, we have an image which suggests the third largest wireless provider in the U.S. is set to launch a promotion on August 12 to September 30. The idea is to offer customers a free ZTE Optik tablet when they purchase any new smartphone. Yes, you heard correct.
The company has really been on a roll as of late, especially when it comes to offering new and current customers deals. Recently, Sprint lowered the price of its iPhone 4S to the friendly price of $149, which Apple later matched. Back to the matter at hand. The ZTE Optik won’t set the world on fire, but for free it isn’t so bad.
The slate carries some decent specs like a 1280 x 800 7-inch display, a 1.2Ghz dual-core processor (Qualcomm MSM8660), and 1GB of RAM. There remains a bit of a grey area with this deal, like whether folks will have to sign up to a data plan on the Optik. Plus, there’s that whole signing up for a new two-year contract thing.
