Finally, bloggers and publishers alike can rejoice, as WordPress gets a long overdue update to its iOS application. Version 3.1 brings some much needed usability to the iPhone and iPad by incorporating the popular sliding panel feature that every single app seems to have adopted. Now users can swipe over to see different features of the app. Features include “post format” support, post preview on the iPad, dashboard access, and landscape support. Moreover, WordPress mobile users can also expect the typical “performance improvements” (which in other words, means bug fixes).

When I ran through the app, I noticed an instant change. For starters, the application went from being nearly unusable, to something you can actually get some work done on. The new look is definitely more visually refreshing. If you want to check out the updated version of WordPress, just hit the iTunes App Store link.
