We just recently saw the Samsung Galaxy S III running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on video, and now the official test build of it — and another video. If you’re holding onto one of the US versions of the handset, we’d suggest you wait this round out, as the build is for the international version, but it shouldn’t take too long until all Galaxy S III devices get a taste of some unofficial Jelly Bean love.
As you’d expect, this is a pre-release version of the ROM for the Galaxy S III, so don’t think you can flash this and everything will be hunky-dory. We’re still surprised that Samsung could be pushing the update out as soon as next month, so while it makes sense that a pre-release ROM might be floating around at this time, it’s obvious that the company has kicked it into high-gear.
From the video we saw yesterday, Jelly Bean on the Galaxy S III looks quite minimal, which is fine by us. There are only so many new aesthetic tweaks that it might make the process of porting it over to a custom software a little easier. Either way, the official Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy S III can’t be too far off now.
