Popular augmented reality browser Wikitude has been updated with several handy features, including the ability to scan your money and instantly get exchange rates. Yup, you can test it out with your dollars and euros and see how much they’re worth today.

Alongside the app update — which BTW is now in version 7.5 — Wikitude has also released a new SDK, featuring image recognition capabilities powered by Qualcomm Vuforia SDK — to make the money recognition possible, among other things. Developers can now use HTML drawables to create complex visualizations of AR objects, rely on relative locations to create AR content based on the user’s location and there’s also a fully customizable AR radar. In addition, animations have been beefed-up with the inclusion of Sprite Animations, 3D Transformations and Animation Groups to allow complex types of animations.

Wikitude 7.5 is available as a free download for iOS and Android, and you can get it by clicking on the appropriate link below…
