Facebook proudly announced that its App Center has been used by more than 150 million people following its global rollout. Moreover, the service is driving 2.4 times more installs than its previous apps and games dashboard.
But that’s not all – the social network is claiming users are also more engaged, with those installing via the App Center being 35% more likely than the average user to return to an app the following day, and 17% more likely to return within a week. What’s more, it says that certain social apps are receiving “thousands of additional mobile installs every day”.
Pretty impressive for a brand new store though we can’t say we’re that surprised considering that Facebook has almost a billion users worldwide.
If you recall, the App Center was first announced in June 2012 when it was a U.S. only affair that was turned into a global service soon afterwards…
