Rogers unveiled the OS upgrade schedule, promising Ice Cream Sandwich updates for many devices in the next couple of weeks, with most phones and tablets getting their servings of ICS in “Early September.” Here’s what they got:

  • Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Galaxy Tab 8.9 upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0) is expected “Early September”
  • Sony Xperia Arc (LT15a), Xperia Arc S (LT18a) and Xperia Mini Pro (SK17a) upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0) is expected “Early September”
  • Motorola RAZR (XT910) upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0) is expected “Late August”

We like when carriers are open about their upgrade plans rather than keeping their customers in the dark. Hopefully this will turn into a standard practice every mobile operator will follow…
