We’ve already told you that Archos is preparing to unveil a new generation of tablets and voila… the curtain has been removed and now we know everything about the new Archos 101 XS.
There are few key things to notice here:
- It’s not a high-end product as it doesn’t come with a full HD screen and quad-core processor.
- It’s super thin.
- The keyboard dock/cover comes included with the tablet.
Specs wise, the device rocks TI’s dual-core OMAP 4470 CPU clocked at 1.5GHz, 10.1-inch 1280×800 pixels screen, 1GB of RAM, Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth 4.0, 16GB of built-in storage, while Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is running the show. All this is packed into a slate weighing grams with keyboard cover/dock adding 200 grams on top of that.
The Archos 101 XS will be available in the UK in mid-September for 299.99 GBP with other European countries to follow soon afterwards. As for the U.S., users there will be able to pick it up at some point in November for $399.99.
