Are you getting nauseous yet from all the Apple rumors? Well, you may want to hold it in for another. The latest rumor hitting the interwebs comes from the folks over at The Telegraph. According to the news publication, Apple is setting up the stage for more exciting things to announce in September, as the company is working on a new feature called ‘AirPlay Direct’. Apparently, the new feature is similar to the Wi-Fi Direct standard, and it will enhance its music streaming services.
There is a bit of difference from how AirPlay runs in its current state compared to what ‘AirPlay Direct’ will bring. For instance, AirPlay currently requires special accessories and a Wi-Fi network to be used, while the new version will only require speakers along with any iProduct (iPhone, iPod or iPad), which will support a direct connection for music playback.
If half of these rumors turn out true, next month will definitely be a time for people to get excited about. Who are we kidding? People are excited about anything Apple. It’ll be interesting to see how the tech giant incorporates this feature on its current products out on the market.
