We’ve seen the Archos 101 XS and we also know that two other models, Archos 80 XS and Archos 97 XS, will be released soon. What we didn’t know is that the French company is also working on a model with a bigger, 11.6-inch screen that will apparently sport a full HD (1920×1200 pixels) screen. The story goes on suggesting that such a device will start selling at some point in early 2013, hinting us it will be unveiled either at CES or Mobile World Congress.
Meanwhile, we’ve learned the price of two smaller XS models: the 8-inch Archos 80 XS will cost 200 EUR, while the slightly larger Archos 97 XS will go for 399 EUR. It is said that for the low price of the smaller tablet won’t get you the keyboard dock and that you’ll have to buy it separately. Something’s gotta give, I guess.
Personally I dig the smallest of the three devices but I don’t like the fact that is has such a thick bezel. Guess Archos wanted to make one keyboard that fits all three models; on one side this saves them some serious cash, while on the other – it kills the idea of a smaller tablet. What do you say?
