PayPal gets a face-lift, now it looks like an actual Android app

PayPal has updated its mobile application on Android, and it’s a pretty good one. The mobile payment company has done away with its boring user interface in favor of a much better look that more resembles the little green robot’s design language (themed coding). Version brings more than just looks, as the new update adds functional improvements.

PayPal claims that the update brings “the features that matter to you most,” including new functionality surrounding account management as well as sending and requesting money, which are features the iPhone app has had for some time. What users will also notice is some minor tweaks to the “Local” feature within the application that’s suppose to work for PayPal’s Square competitor ‘PayPal Here’. Now, it’s easier for users to pay at local businesses, as this enhances the mobile payment company’s unique check-in system that lets users check in show up on the business owner’s mobile device, which is then ready to accept payment instantly.

The app also shows present and available balances. It’s good to see that PayPal is on top of its game, by offering Android users a better app experience. If you don’t have the new PayPal, hit up the Google Play Store to get the download.
