The newly announced Sony Xperia J is heading to the UK with Clove already talking about the phone on its website. The mid-end Android smartphone will be available in the week commencing October 29th for 190.80 GBP (159 GBP without VAT). That, of course, is the price of an unlocked, SIM-free device, with mobile operators most likely offering it for free on two-year contracts starting at about 20-25 GBP per month.
Initially, only the black and white versions will be offered, while pink and gold variants will be released later in the year.
If you missed our previous post on the subject you should know that the Xperia J is part of a range of new smartphones recently announced by Sony. It slots into the middle of the range, with its specs including things like a 4-inch FWVGA display, 1GHz processor, 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, HSPA and Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS, Bluetooth, while Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is running the show.
