Looks like China-based Oppo is preparing to seriously challenge incumbent smartphone makers. After unveiling the super-thin Oppo Finder smartphone, the company is now preparing to enter the phablet game, currently dominated by Samsung Galaxy Note and LG Optimus Vu. Apparently they’re readying to launch a 5-inch tablet/smartphone hybrid with screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. That’s 441ppi!
Moreover, it is said that the forthcoming Oppo Find5 X990 will also rock Qualcomm’s quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 CPU to provide the horse power needed for smooth transitions on such a display.
We love how it sounds and can only hope Oppo will be able to launch its baby by the end of this or early next year. What’s more, we would like to see other handset makers showing their goods… Can’t wait to see what HTC has in store for us.
