You have an Android smartphone and tablet, what else can you “do”? Soon you’ll be able to grab an Android-powered TV, compliments of ViewSonic. The forthcoming VSD220 Smart Display rocks a 22-inch 1080p touchscreen, TI’s dual-core processor, 8GB of built-in storage, while Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is running the show. Moreover, there are stereo speakers, integrated microphone, HDMI-in, 1.2-megapixel webcam, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, 2 full-sized and 1 micro USB ports.
ViewSonic lists the new product with a price tag of $543 though it’s out of stock at the moment. Moreover, we’re hearing the price will go south of $400 once more merchants get to sell it.
Now I dig the idea of putting Android in different devices but I’m not sure I would spend additional cash on a smart display. After all, at 22 inches it can hardly replace my TV. What do you think? Would you be willing to try this out?
