After T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless’ Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 will get its serving of the Ice Cream Sandwich. The software version i905.LP11 is listed as “coming soon,” packing a ton of goodies, including:

  • Pinch to Zoom functionality in homescreen and main menu screen
  • Integrated Google Plus
  • Integrated Google Text-To-Speech Engine
  • New features in the email client
  • Redesigned Gallery app with photo editor, bringing new sorting options, improved photo studio and Picture Gallery widget.
  • Improved camera app: new features include continuous focus, zero shutter lag exposure, stabilized image zoom, single-motion panorama and built-in face detection.
  • Wi-Fi Direct support

The 248MB update will be available for download soon, though we’re not sure just how soon. Then again, nothing stops you from checking for new software right now. Hit Settings, About tablet and take it from there…

I got my update last night, it’s a big update so be patient, it has to re-sync your various accounts. After the update I noticed the performance improvement. I like now you can install Chrome Browser, create folders on home page, close running tasks, home screen full rotation, etc.
