Voyager Mobile, the mobile virtual operator we talked about in the past, wants to expand its device portfolio in the fourth quarter with the release of tablets, portable hotspots and USB modems. In an email to FierceWireless, the MVNO’s president John Mardini confirmed the news adding that the price plans are “being completed now” and that the announcement will follow soon.

However, we’ve no information which tablets and portable hotspots the company will offer, though we think they’re in talks with few companies making Android products like HTC and Samsung. As for other products, Mardini mentioned Novatel Wireless’ MiFi, as well USB-capable AirCard modems (made by Sierra Wireless).

Perhaps more interesting is Mardini’s answer to the “iQuestion” to which he said: “I’m unable to comment about the iPhone on Voyager Mobile.” Now I would take this as either “yes” or we’re negotiating with Apple and will hopefully have more information soon. We’ll see where that goes…
