Sony Xperia tipo now available in the U.S. through Sony Store; Xperia tipo up for pre-order

Sony Xperia tipo is now available in the U.S. through Sony Store. The unlocked device is selling for $179.99 and you can grab it in an array of colors, including serene black, classic silver, navy blue and deep red. The Xperia tipo dual — which is a dual SIM version of the Xperia tipo — will start selling soon and you can already pre-order your unit for $189.99. It is available in classic black or classic white.

Specs wise, both the Xperia tipo and Xperia tipo dual are entry-level devices packing an 800Mhz processor, 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen, 512MB of RAM, 3.2-megapixel camera, HSDPA and Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth, GPS, 4GB of built-in storage, microSD expansion slot, while Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is running the show. In case you wonder, it’s compatible with AT&T’s 3G network.
