AT&T announces the Sony Xperia TL — rocks 4.6-inch 720p display and 13-megapixel shooter

AT&T announced it will be carrying the flagship handset of Sony called the Xperia TL. Now, many of us know this phone as the Xperia T, when the electronics giant officially announced it to the world a month ago. So it seems that the Death Star will get special branding for the device here in the states. However, the handset will pack the same features, which includes Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich phone with a 4.6-inch display (1280×720), a 1.5-GHZ dual-core Qualcomm Krait processor, a 13-megapixel camera, NFC and PlayStation certification.

The second largest carrier in the states, made a big emphasis on the handset’s 13-megapixel rear camera. Moreover, the carrier touted the TL’s ability to wake from standby mode and snap a picture in just 1.5 seconds along with its 1080p video recording capabilities. But, what’s probably more cooler than the specs of the Xperia TL, is the fact that it’s being featured in the new James Bond movie Skyfall. Not sure if this will impact sales, but it’s still a good bragging right to gloat.

Unfortunately, AT&T in its release was mum about specifics and details. There’s no word on availability and pricing, so you’ll just have to stay tuned on the latest.
