LG announced on Thursday that the Optimus G will land on Sprint and AT&T later this year. The high-end Android handset includes a 1.5-GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor, a 4.7-inch IPS display with 1280-by-768 resolution, 2GB of RAM,  16 GB or 32GB of internal storage, and microSD expansion up to 64 GB (in 16GB model). On the back is an 8-megapixel (or 13-megapixel) camera with zero shutter lag, a live shot feature that will capture simultaneous video and photos and Time Catch Shot, which automatically compensates if you push the shutter at the wrong time.

Unfortunately, the announcement did not include a launch date or pricing for the Optimus G. This is one of many recent handsets that have been announced without specific launch details. The others include the Lumia 920, HTC Windows Phone 8XHTC One X+, and the Samsung Galaxy Note II.
