Microsoft to hold Windows Phone 8 event on October 29th in San Francisco

Microsoft has begun seeding press invites to its Windows Phone 8 launch event on October 29th in San Francisco. Microsoft will be showing off the final version of Windows Phone 8, and the 29th will likely mark the day customers can begin pre-ordering Windows Phone 8 devices such as the Lumia 920, 820, and HTC’s Windows Phone 8X and 8S in the U.S. The first Windows Phone 8 devices are expected to go on sale in early November.
