The soon-to-be-launched Padfone 2 has cleared another hurdle on its way to prospective customers. The device has been caught getting approval from Global Certification Forum and from there we learn they got to play with the version that’s not compatible with LTE networks in the U.S. Rather the model they got is usable in Europe, Asia and Latin America. That said, we expect that the another Padfone 2 (or more of them), with LTE radio that sings along major U.S. networks will get the same treatment in the near future.

Just like the original Asus PadFone, the new one will also pack a smartphone and tablet dock, which will most likely be further expandable with a keyboard. Hopefully they Taiwanese company will have it ready by the Christmas to take advantage of the holiday shopping season. And yes, we can’t wait to play with it. ;)
