T-Mobile has officially announced its latest mid-range Android device called the LG Optimus L9. The entry-level handset will carry Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, a 4.5-inch qHD display, 1GHz dual-core CPU, and a 5MP shooter that records “True-to-Life” 1080p HD. In addition, the L9 comes with a 2,150 mAh Battery all packed in an impressive 0.36-inches thick housing.
Magenta in its press release raved about the Optimus L9’s “stylish design,” along with its Unlimited 4G data plan:
“The LG Optimus L9 gives our customers an amazing 4G experience packaged in a stylish design,” said Brad Duea, senior vice president, product management, T-Mobile USA. “And, when coupled with T-Mobile’s Unlimited Nationwide 4G Data plan, T-Mobile customers have the freedom to live an always-connected lifestyle on our 4G network– whether that means watching videos, streaming music or searching the Web – without having to worry about overage charges or surprise bills.”
Unfortunately, availability and pricing specifics were not mentioned, but the phone is expected to launch sometime this fall. T-Mobile seems to really be all-in on LG offerings, as the company will also be selling the Korean manufacturers flagship device — the Optimus G. This is shaping up to be a very interesting season.
