Rumor: AT&T to open up Windows Phone 8 preorders on October 21st

The Verge reported this morning that AT&T will begin taking preorders for HTC and Nokia Windows Phone 8 devices on October 21st, ahead of Microsoft’s October 29th launch event for Windows Phone 8. The Lumia 820, Lumia 920, and Windows Phone 8X devices are expected to go on sale in mid-November. AT&T will also open up preorders for Windows 8 and Windows RT tablets on the 21st, with the recently announced Samsung ATIV Smart PC and ASUS Vivo Tab RT expected to launch on the 26th.

Of course, we still don’t have pricing for any of the devices, though with October 21st right around the corner, we should learn those key details shortly.
