This isn’t the first time we’re hearing that Google is working on the Nexus 10, an Android tablet with a 10-inch screen. Now thanks to CNet we have more to report on it, relying on words of Richard Shim, an analyst at NPD DisplaySearch, who quotes supply chain indications.
According to him, the Google Nexus 10 will have an amazing 10.1-inch screen capable of displaying 2,560×1,600 pixels resolution for a PPI (pixels per inch) of 299 — which is more than iPad’s 264 PPI. Shim added that, unlike Nexus 7, the forthcoming tablet will be a premium device and will be made by Samsung (rather than Asus).
But that’s not all – Shim also confirmed that Google will start production on a $99 7-inch tablet in December.
I’m sure we’ll be getting back to this story on and on until Google and/or Samsung finally announce the 10-inch Nexus tablet. Stay tuned in the meantime…
