research2guidance is launching a series of reports on several key countries within the global mobile apps market. Their first target is the UK, which is described as the biggest app market in Europe, outnumbering other European countries in terms of revenue generated by app downloads, in-app advertisement, as well as the sheer number of downloads and users.
After only 4 years, the UK market will surpass the half a billion EUR mark in 2012. More precisely, the research company predicts that this year’s app revenues will reach 556 million.
Also worth noting is that UK is the only country in Europe where Blackberry apps have a significant market share. Moreover, because of the high competition, apps must generate significantly higher download numbers to remain in the top app ranking compared to other European countries.
Additional details about the report are available from research2guidance’s website.
