UK supermarket chain ASDA is slashing the price of the unlocked Samsung Galaxy S III. Those you who don’t like signing carrier contracts will be able to get the best Android smartphone (until Optimus G is out) for 399 GBP (about $639) and use it with a network and plan of choice. Yeah, that’s still a lot of cash but then again, you can switch boats (buy some other device) whenever you want if you use the phone on PAYG.
Now that ASDA made the SIM-free Galaxy S III more affordable, I would expect other retailers following suit, pushing price further to the south. We’ll let you know as soon as we hear some new hot deal is out, and in the meantime you can check out ASDA’s Galaxy S III offer from here.
