U.S. Cellular is adding the low-end Alcatel ONE TOUCH Shockwave to its portfolio. Available for $49.99 from the carrier’s stores and online, this little fella’ offers quite a bang for the buck, including an 800MHz processor, 3.5-inch HVGA screen, 3.2-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi connectivity, while Android 2.3 Gingerbread is running the show. It’s also a shock and water resistant device with super tough Dragontrail tempered glass, anti-slip finishes and scratch resistant materials.
In other words, it’s one of those phones made for folks just entering the Android world. And in case users are a bit scared their phone bill could go through the roof, they can fire-up the Traffic Manager app for monitoring data and calling usage…
