Almost missed this… Canada’s Rogers Wireless and Microsoft jointly announced new Windows Phone 8 offering. We’re saying “new,” cause we already know they’ll get to sell the Nokia Lumia 920, as well as the HTC 8X with 8 and 16 GB of built-in storage.
The Samsung ATIV S will join the party, and so will the ATIV Smart PC tablet, which specs include Intel’s new Clover Trail CPU, 2GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, 11.6-inch 1366×768 pixels screen, 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, 2-megapixel front-facing one, and of course LTE connectivity support.
But the story doesn’t end with hardware – the big chunk of the announcement deals with software. Among Rogers’ apps users will get to try are Rogers Anyplace TV Live for Windows Phone 8, Rogers Anyplace TV on Demand for Windows 8 tablets and Rogers One Number…
Now the question is whether all this will help push users into adopting Microsoft’s new platform. Guess we’ll have to wait and see…
