China only: ZTE U950 packs Tegra 3 for less than $160

Chinese ZTE has prepared an awesome device for its own backyard. The soon to be launched ZTE U950, offers quite a bang for the buck, including 1.3GHz Tegra 3 quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 4.3-inch screen, 4GB of built-in storage, while Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is running the show. All this is packed in a 9mm-thick body and available for 999 yuan which translates into some $160. You got that right, $160 gets you what we would consider a high-end smartphone; and while it may lack few bells and whistles here and there (like more storage), you can hardly get anything better for that money.

In order to express your interest, you’ll have to register at 139shop.com with first 100,000 customers doing so getting the option to order on November 11th. The chances are the quota’s all gone by now, though…
