In order to better compete with Amazon’s Kindle Fire and Google’s Nexus 7 (and in wake of the Nook HD and Nook HD+ launch), Barnes & Noble is slashing prices of the Nook Color and Nook Tablet. The former is now available for just $139, making it a great choice for folks who wanted to try out ebooks but were not willing to pay a premium for the benefit.
As for the Nook Tablet, its 8GB version is now selling for $159, while the 16GB model is going for $179. In comparison, the cheapest Amazon Kindle Fire costs $159 so at the end, you’ll be choosing the book store you like better.
Alternatively, I would suggest going for the Nexus 7 (or Nexus 10) though they’re a bit more pricier. It’s your call… You can see all Nook products from this page.
