Starting November 9, AT&T will take $100 off the price of tablets when they are purchased with a two-year data plan agreement. AT&T announced the promotion on its website and confirmed that the discount extends to both Android tablets and Apple iPads. Customers can add the tablet to an existing shared data plan or a tiered plan, which include the following:

  • AT&T Mobile Share: $10 to share between 1 GB and 20GB
  • AT&T DataConnect 250MB: $15 for 250MB
  • AT&T DataConnect 3GB: $30 for 3GB
  • AT&T DataConnect 5GB: $50 for 5GB

Customers who are already locked into a two-year Mobile share plan may benefit from the discount as they would only be paying an extra $10 a month for the duration of their contract. Saving a $100 now during the expensive holiday shopping season may be worth the extra $240 they would pay over the course of a two-year agreement. Customers with less than a two-years on their contract should probably pay the extra $100, as the $100 discount is quickly offset by a $10 or more monthly fee that’ll last for two years.
