Employees toss around iPads in Kentucky Walmart warehouse (Updated)

A YouTube video spotted by Gizmodo allegedly shows three Walmart employees tossing around iPads in the warehouse area of a Pikeville, KY store. The portrait video kicks off with one employee proclaiming that “this is why you don’t buy an iPad from Walmart” and cuts to another employee tossing a box supposedly containing an iPad across the room. As the iPads hurl across the warehouse, some of the boxes drop to the cement floor with a wrenching smack. One is deliberately thrown to the floor in a move that makes any electronics fan cringe.

There’s no way to know if this video really shows three not-so-bright employees abusing company inventory or whether it’s just a stunt designed to go viral. I’m leaning towards the latter as the second employee appears to whisper “there’s nothing in them” at about 0:04 into the video. Check out the video below and let us know what you think.

Update: A thread a Reddit suggests this is legit and the employees behind this prank were fired and prosecuted. You would think in this day and age, people would have the common sense not to film and upload a video of themselves committing a crime.
