Samsung’s flagship (and so far only) Windows Phone 8 device, Ativ S, is now available in the UK from Expansys. The electronics retailer is offering the sexy phone for 449.99 GBP (about $718), sans any strings attached. That’s a lot of money and if you want to test the latest Windows Phone platform, I would suggest waiting for few more weeks when you should be able to get the Ativ S for free as long as you commit on a two-year contract.
Again, the Samsung Ativ S rocks a Galaxy S III-like 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD screen, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 8-megapixel rear camera, 1.9-megapixel front-facing one, 1GB of RAM, HSPA+ and Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS and a memory card slot. If there were no for Lumia 920, it would be our Windows Phone device of choice – but because the Finns have their own apps for Microsoft’s platform, we can’t but recommend Nokia’s flagship, instead.
