We don’t usually associate Alltel with high-end phones and as I’m writing this that will remain the case. The carrier launched the Motorola RAZR MAXX and is offering it for $129.99 on contract or $499.99 sans any long-term commitments. This isn’t the RAZR MAXX HD but the earlier model which doesn’t have a 720p HD screen.
Specs wise, the RAZR MAXX sports 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 4.3-inch qHD screen, 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, big 3300mAh battery, while Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is running the show. Yup, you should avoid it if you can and grab something better, instead. Remember that 720p screen is getting standard these days.
If you just can’t help it, hop over to this page at Alltel’s website and take it from there.
