Google’s Niantic labs has been hard at work creating the next evolution in augmented reality gaming, a game called Ingress, which is being billed as-wait it’s a mouthful the world’s first MMMMORPG. No, that’s not the name of the final boss; it stands for massively multiplayer map-based mobile online augmented reality game.

This new game from Niantic labs states it takes a year and a half to finish, and is sure to turn your sleepy town or bustling city environment into a creepy J.J. Abrams like world of strangeness and intrigue.
