File this under “rumors” or “mistakes” but Carphone Warehouse’s website suggests that the white Nexus 4 is in works. At the phone’s web page, users are able to pick between the black (default) and white models. Pressing the “white” color unfortunately doesn’t show us any image, hinting us this could be an error on the side of the phone retailer’s web team. Then again, it could also be a sign of things to come though we can’t really tell at the moment. The chances are LG and Google do want to additionally capitalize on the Nexus 4 craze and offer a version of the device catered to folks who prefer having their phones in white.

We’ll have to wait and see whether there’s some merit in this, and in the meantime you can order your Nexus 4 unit from Carphone Warehouse with a number of plans from O2, Vodafone and Three. It is available for free as long as you commit on a two-year contract starting at 31 GBP per month.

UPDATE: Carphone Warehouse updated the page in the meantime and now it doesn’t show white option for the Nexus 4.
