Vodafone unveiled Smart Tab II, a new member of its own-brandedtablets. This 7-inch device has a screen with 1024×600 pixels resolution, 1GHz processor, 2-megapixel rear-facing camera, VGA front-facing one, 4GB of internal storage, HSPA+ and Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS and a microSD expansion slot. All this could be yours for just 29 GBP as long as you commit on a two-year contract starting at 20 GBP per month. That cash gets you 2GB of mobile Internet as well as 1GB of data across Voda’s network of Wi-Fi hotspots.
Don’t want to mix carrier contracts and tablets? No problem – the Vodafone Smart Tab II is also available with pay as you go plans, and in order to get it like that you’ll have to pour out 149 GBP (which translates into some $237). If PAYG is the way you like more, we suggest grabbing the Nexus 7 instead, and using it exclusively with Wi-Fi. You’ll get a much better device with the latest version of Android. It’s your call…
Dusan has been using smartphones since their introduction and is now following the latest trends in the industry. The "convergence" is what he's most excited about, and writing about it is the next logical thing to do. He thinks that using a smartphone is what everyone who cares about their time should do.
In addition to his interests in mobile phones, Dusan also loves to experiment with the latest web and mobile 2.0 services. The idea of accessing and managing your information from any device no matter where you are simply amazes him. Whether it's an online to-do list, note taking service or a video sharing social network, he's there to try it out. He admits though, he's still searching for the ultimate web-based organizational tool, which "sings" perfectly with the mobile PIM application.
